SIVØLIA Relay Approved-agency request routing
Essex pilot · open now

Short-notice cover, without calling round one agency at a time.

Write the shift once. Route it to the agencies your service already approves. See who has availability, in one place, and decide who to contact.

For care and residential providers in Essex

  • Free for providers and agencies during the pilot
  • You choose which approved agencies see each request
  • We don't supply staff, vet workers, or book cover — your service stays in control

Illustrative workflow example

An open paper planner beside a laptop on a desk.
01The problem

The rota gap is the easy part. Finding out who can cover it isn't.

Most services already know which agencies they trust. The slow part is reaching them one at a time, reading the same shift details down the phone, and keeping track of who actually came back.

Typical evening
  • 21:40A support worker calls in sick for the night shift.
  • 21:44First agency called. Role, times, location and DBS requirement read out. No availability.
  • 21:53Second agency called. Same details, read out again.
  • 22:06A text arrives from a third agency. It's missed — the floor is busy.
  • 22:35Cover still unconfirmed, and nothing written down about who was asked or what they said.

Illustrative scenario — not a real service

Hands writing on a monthly paper planner at an office desk.

The same details, repeated

Every call restates the role, the hours, the location and the requirements. Small differences creep in between one call and the next.

Replies scattered across channels

Answers land by phone, text and email at different times, so nobody can see at a glance who can genuinely help right now.

No record once the shift is covered

When cover is urgent there's rarely time to write down who was approached, what was asked, and what came back.

02The workflow

One request. Your approved agencies. Responses in one place.

Four steps, and the provider makes the decision at every point that matters.

STEP 01

Write the shift once

Role, hours, location, number of workers, and the requirements that matter — entered a single time.

STEP 02

Pick your approved agencies

Only the agencies your service has already approved see the request. Nobody else is contacted.

STEP 03

Availability comes back

Each agency answers against the same request, so you're comparing like for like instead of chasing.

STEP 04

You choose who to contact

Your manager picks an agency and arranges the booking directly, exactly as they do today.

A mobile phone showing a month calendar on a desk, next to a laptop being used.

How quickly responses arrive depends entirely on the agencies you select and their availability on the night. Relay routes the request and records the replies — it does not find, hold, or guarantee cover.

03Scope

Where this tool stops, and your service continues.

Care services carry the accountability. The boundary should be obvious before anyone signs up, not buried in terms.

What Relay does

  • Takes one structured staffing request from a provider
  • Routes it only to the agencies that provider has selected
  • Collects agency responses against that same request
  • Shows those responses side by side for comparison
  • Keeps a written record of what was asked, and when

What Relay does not do

  • Supply, employ, or place workers
  • Vet, screen, or check workers or their documents
  • Set, negotiate, or process rates and invoices
  • Make or confirm bookings on your behalf
  • Guarantee that cover will be found
In plain terms

SIVØLIA Relay is an approved-agency request routing tool. It is not a staffing agency, a recruitment agency, a care provider, or a worker-vetting service. Providers and agencies remain responsible for bookings, rates, right-to-work and DBS checks, suitability, and their own regulatory obligations. Nothing here replaces your existing compliance process.

04Both sides

Useful to the manager holding the rota, and to the agency answering the phone.

For providers

Less repeating yourself at 22:00.

  • Send one clear request instead of restating the details on every call
  • Keep a written record of what was requested and who was asked
  • Route only to agencies you already trust or have approved
  • Compare availability side by side rather than across three inboxes
  • Keep every booking and compliance decision with your service

05Who's building it

Founder note

“I work in residential support. This came from a simple problem I kept running into: when cover is needed, reaching the right agency quickly is harder than it should be.

I'm building it slowly, with feedback from providers and agencies, before turning it into a full platform.”

SIVØLIA Relay is at pilot stage. Nothing on this page describes a finished product — the pilot exists to find out whether the workflow is genuinely useful before more is built.
